President Obama isn’t the only member of the Obama Family with a comic book. In January, Marvel Comics came out with a limited edition comic book showing Spider-Man teaming up with President Obama at the inauguration. Now, it's First Lady Michelle Obama's turn to be a superhero. Her biographical comic book hits the stands next month. It will be officially released on April 25 and will sell for $3.99.

The 22 page comic traces her roots from the South Side of Chicago, to the Ivy League Greens of both Princeton and Harvard Universities, to the historic corridors of The White House. The book's publisher, Washington State-based Bluewater Productions, predicts this will be a big seller. You can pre-order it right here.

This comic book will be the third installment of the "Female Force" series profiling female leaders. Issues featuring Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sold out immediately upon their release.

Michelle Obama is educated, visionary, assertive, enterprising, and a serious intellectual. But, she's also a superhero! Wow. Actually, I call her a cultural hero because of the earth-shattering impact she is already having on this country, and, the world at large. Michelle Obama is likely to be just as transformational as her husband, if not more so. Chicago Magazine’s 2009 February cover story on Michelle Obama was like none other that I’ve read on her. It was a great, refreshing, engaging article that revealed her to be the fiercely determined, family- and community-oriented person we already know her to be. This is why I know the comic book will be a huge seller!

What can one say? Try as they might, people will attempt to become rich as a result of our 1st family's status in this country and the world, but they will never be as rich as the 1st family, because the Obama's have something that can't be manufactured, they've got gifts from the creator.

I heard someone say the other day, in jest that people could just form cottage industries around the Obama's n and that could help save the economy. Hmmmmmm, something to think about, huh?

Even on a comic book she looks good. Move over Superman, Spiderman, and Batman: Michelle Obama is on the scene!

I agree LOVE&HAPPINESS...imagine the millions and million of young girls in general, and young black girls in particular. They are going to love this. As a man, I love it. I love comic books. But this takes the genre to a new level. It's hot.

Very good point 2morrowknight...seeing Michelle Obama on the cover of that comic book will be a shot of inspiration for millions. The symbolism should not be lost on anyone. Plus, she looks amazing.

Thanks guys...I decided to put this up because you know, there aren't a lot of mainstream black superheroes, and among the female superheroes, black female ones are even more scarce. So I figured something like this would be very, very empowering and inspiring to see.
