I know a little something about the hardships of raising children alone. It can be a thankless job sometimes. And I'm sure it's even more difficult to hang in there when you're raising someone else's children.
I don't know what the circumstances are regarding you raising your sister's children, but I will say establish boundaries. If you're going to raise them, then they shouldn't be able to play both ends against the middle and go back and forth. Cover all bases when it comes to getting health and life insurance, child support, or social services. If that means becoming their legal guardian, then so be it. I say that because I know women who will give you their children, but continue getting child support or welfare for them. Uhn uhn. If you need to add them to your employer's health plan, then you don't need outside interference or obstacles from their mother.
Look out for you and those kids. And make room for you. Don't be afraid to reach out and ask for help if you need it.
