About Me
A graduate of Skidmore College in Saratoga Springs, NY, where she majored in English with a concentration in Creative Writing. While there she served as president of the Black Action Movement (BAM), Skidmore’s African American student association, a writer for the Skidmore News, Editor-in-Chief of the Multicultural Newsletter, and the Editor-in-Chief of Hip, Happening, and Healthy, the campus health newsletter. She interned at Saratoga’s local newspaper, The Saratogian, and during her senior year, served as Head Resident of Wait Hall. She graduated in 1996 with the Catherine Scranton award for student leadership.

She is also an alumna of New York University, graduating with a Masters Degree in Journalism in 2001.
