About Me
ENTREPRENEUR

I am the CEO of Authentic Contemporary Art, a fine art advisory and curatorial service based in the Washington, DC area.

Authentic Contemporary Art was founded in 2005 and now serves as an alternative source for emerging and contemporary art. Based in the Metropolitan Washington, DC area, Authentic Contemporary Art (ACA) provides emerging contemporary artists a unique opportunity to show their work in alternative site exhibitions and through a juried online art gallery.

ACA also provides opportunities for individuals who are interested in visual art to learn more about collecting and conserving art through workshops, gallery visits and special events. ACA partners with a variety of art and interior design professionals and organizations to present contemporary art that is accessible and affordable to the novice collector and attractive to established art connoisseurs.

VISUAL ARTIST

As a self-taught artist, my creations are a response to a variety of visual stimuli, whether it is a pattern on African motif or the wonderful works of Mother Nature.

I am influenced by the spiritual world, especially representations of beliefs and customs in a variety of cultures. I also use art to respond to universal issues that affect those most vulnerable in society, whether it affects children, the elderly or those on the lower end of the socio-economic latter.

I choose the appropriate medium, whether painting, mixed media, collage, or photograpy from the “visions” which guide me in during the creative process. They serve as my tools for bringing my "visions" into reality

Why are individuals of means, often extraordinarily savvy in their other financial dealings, so vulnerable when it comes to the acquisition of art? What is it about art that causes buyers to take such leaps of faith, often only to discover that simple research could have easily uncovered any snags or malfeasance?
