The eyes of surprise

From the souls of civil lies
Lied a people disenfranchised
Yet, Still we Rise-EQUALITY
Ebony and Ivory soul ties
Civil Rights battlegrounds
Segregated lives were bound
To the ugliest war times
Hear the sounds?

With a resounding love
Built on segregated roots
Still we all miss you, ROSA
My heart longs to hold your hands
May we all band together
We are now unified by plans
To make better… this land

Feel the heartbeat of every man
Every woman and child

Take a stand for what you believe
And by FAITH, you will receive
