I've Lost My Job... Have You?
I was laid off Thursday afternoon. I didn't do anything wrong though. With sales down 25%, the company had to start making cuts. It was a business decision. But I still feel like a loser. My opinion is that I wasn't important enough to keep on the payroll -- even though I just got a promotion two weeks ago. I'm taking a week to chill out. Between my severance package and my savings, I'll be okay (financially) for a few months. But the wound will take a while to heal.
