WOW THAT IS SOMETHING NICE TO DO GET PEOPLE TO TAKE A VACATION.
IS THIS YOUR OWN BUSINESS? SOUNDS LIKE FUN. I HAVE NEVER BEEN ON A SHIP, I HAVEA FEAR, EVER SINCE I SAW TITANIC.
Here is what I have been doing everyday for the last week and a half: Is my next trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic (w/o the pictures)
My Good People,
Ana and I have returned from Punta Cana and we have the package for you! We reviewed seven (7) properties (one we saw twice) and have selected the luxurious Melia Caribe Tropical (MCT) as our destination for May Madness 2010. These are pictures of a couple of their pools (from their Brochure and my trip down there).
MCT is a "5 Star Resort" located 20 minutes from the Punta Cana Airport and on some of the most beautiful beaches in Punta Cana.
The Resort has 13 Restaurants (10 Specialty and 3 a' la carte) and 14 Bars! We usually emphasize eating all of our meals together every night, but this time we are going to have group dining on the 3 nights of our Signature Events: The Formal Masquerade, the Pirates of The Caribbean Beach Party and the ALL WHITE Affair. The other nights you are welcome to dine at any Restaurant of your choice. The Resort also features 1200 spacious junior suites, including 216 suites as part of their exclusive Royal Service. The rooms have a living area, a king-sized bed or 2 twin beds, a terrace or balcony, satellite TV, mini-bar, and safety deposit box.

The rates for the trip will be $600 (per person) for a double room and only $850 for a single room (Playa Del Carmen was $950). I am awaiting the prices for the triple and quad rooms. They should be arriving shortly. The trip will be from May 22nd to May 27th of 2010. We will be doing the airfare separately, as always, since we have people coming from so many different parts of the country.
The price will cover:
~ Your 6 day/5 night stay in a Junior Suite (each room has a sunken living room)
~ All of your meals and drinks INCLUDING alcoholic beverages.
~ Your round trip shuttle transportation to/from the Punta Cana Airport.
~ Your Party Shirt
~ Your Mask for the Formal Masquerade Night
~ Some assorted Dancin' Doug Travel giveaways
For our itinerary, we would like to add a couple of new things: First, instead of having the All White night like we usually do, I was thinking that we utilize the "Coliseum" that is located on the facility--see picture below--(it is actually elevated and you look down on the stage) and have a "Night of the Roman Empire" for our last night finale. We can wear all white Togas and have a Toga Party (not the crazy kind!) and the Resort will supply the gold leaf laurel and garland head wear. What say you???? LOL
I was also thinking about adding a "Pirates of the Caribbean night" Beach Party where we can dress up as Pirates since they have props for this already at the Resort (see below). We would have that on the beach the fourth night. It could be this or the 70's Blue Light party. These are some suggestions. We are always looking for ways to turn up the volume on the fun and games. Let me know what you think.
That would make the Night Life itinerary:
Saturday: Throwback Party with our shirts.
Sunday: Formal Masquerade Ball
Monday: Monday Night Football Beach Party (Hot Shoe Contest/Spade Tournament)
Tuesday: Pirates of the Caribbean or 70's Blue Light Party
Wednesday: "Night of the Roman Empire" All White Affair/Toga Party
Thursday: Head home and get ready for "Hot Fun in the Summertime" in Atlanta for the 2nd weekend of July.
During the days we will have excursions available from the Resort. For our Party People we will have our Professional Dance Instructors teaching the latest Line Dances, Salsa and Chicago Style Steppin'. And we will have our Adult Games like the He-Man Chippendales Show, America's Top Model Show, Adult Twister and the Party People Auction.
Don't forget our Sermon on the Beach, you know our motto, "We start with prayer and we finish with prayer and we have a whole lot of fun in between". This is led by our "Resident Reverend', the Rev. Irie Lynne Session.
Lastly, we will have our Wellness and Business Seminars for your spiritual and financial enrichment. We now have a Certified Massage Therapist and new Hair Stylist on our staff for your beauty and relaxing pleasure.
All of this plus Hip Hop Legend Kurtis Blow performing his greatest hits and it promises to be the vacation of vacations!!!!
