- I'm a blessed mother of 2. I thank god for life in which I almost lost in 07 do to a MVA. I'm not able to do much physical activity. I walk with a cane now, but that's OK because I was told that I would never walk again. I do my best to enjoy life even with all the hardships & sacrifices. I know that some how we'll get by.

How can people prevent HPV infection?
While the vaccine can help protect women from HPV, there are other things you can do. Condoms may lower the risk of HPV, if used all the time and correctly. Condoms may also lower the risk of developing HPV-related diseases, such as genital warts and cervical cancer.
