Leaving a legacy of healing for children is a vital part of Riviears’ lifework. “We must empower our children with the knowledge and confidence to heal themselves physically, emotionally, spiritually and nutritionally,” Riviears says. “It is The Creator’s intention that we live in divine order.” Since 1989, Riviears has lived in Newborn, Georgia (Atlanta metro area) with her four children. A community activist, Riviears was the first African-American city council person in Newborn’s history.
