Changes

I haven't been on here for a little while. I've been so busy. I've experienced so much change (good and not so good) lately. However, if I don't know anything else, I know that they only thing in life that is guaranteed, is change. I woke up one day in August feeling great. By the end of the day I was in tears. I woke up another day in August feeling enthusiastic and I went to bed feeling defeated. I've decided to put some of my goals on a temporary hold to adjust to the changes in my life that… Continue

Having a Good Day

This morning my boyfriend called me (via telephone from Atlanta, GA). When I told him that I was headed to work, he said "Baby, are you ready for work today?" I replied, "What do you mean by ready?" He said, "Mentally. Are you ready for work? Don't let anyone there make you have a bad day." That's why I love that man. He woke up this morning, headed to the gym, just thankful to be alive, inspite of some obstacles he's faced lately. He knows that my job is stressful and my workplace is full of ha… Continue

Reality Check - The Secret Reason Why Some Women Don't Believe They Need a Man

I voted today. I voted for what I hope will be positive change in the City of Detroit. I exercised my right as a citizen to make a difference, even if I am one person. When I was at the poll today, I noticed how few men there were. Most of the men I saw were working at the polling location, but I only saw one man in my age group come in to vote. That observation led me to start thinking about men and their contributions and why some reason don't believe they need a man. I know the answer, but yo… Continue

Reality Check - Healthcare Issue or Money Issue?

As I was organizing these upcoming benefit events for Looking For My Sister, I reached out to our Community for sponsorships and assistance (stuff costs money, and I unfortunately don't have a money tree in my yard), and it dawned on me that companies (and people at these companies) don't like to help others if they find it financially beneficial not to. For instance, domestic violence is not considered a health problem, therefore healthcare providers and insurance companies (one of which is the… Continue

The Best Revenge

Women often ask me; How do you get revenge on someone who broke your heart?

We've all heard the "Bust Your Windows" song a trillion times. A lot of us even know the words - all of them. We can relate to how Jazmine Sullivan probably felt when she sat down and wrote that song. Many of us have felt that way, and some of us have probably reacted that way, unfortunately. We all have our heartbreak routine. We eat too much of something we shouldn't, or don't eat at all; we don't exercise like we sho… Continue

Respect on your post in my thread about facial expressions. You went out on a limb to be different, and i respect that. You get it, many refuse to even consider it could possibly be a slight character flaw within them. Accusations of coveting white women, tearing down black men, and all the thread did was ask if they noticed that many men feel is have become an issue in our culture.

Thanks for you support in the thread, you can't reach em all.

Sweet Tooth

I think of you as chocolate.
As I unwrap you, I see your coffee brown
Nakedness, enticing me to love you.

As I smell your sugary aroma, you captivate
my taste buds as my lips taste your walls
of sweetness.

Warm to the touch as you melt in my mouth and
your syrupy liquid excites me with anticipation and love.

Your creamy filling stimulates my mind with exotic
images and feelings of passion and ecstasy, as part
of you pleasantly flows down to my soul
satisfying my awaiting desire.

Hi Ms. Jones. Good blogposts. You should have a book on the market, or, at the very least, have a career as a "relationship pundit". I'll look forward to returning to your page for your perspectives.

Maintain your smile into 2009 and beyond. Peace.

I'd rather be married and happy. Living in a time that we live in today, money is at the top of everyones list. Although not having to struggle is a wonderful thing. Being happy is what counts most. When you die, you cant take dollars and cents with you. Living in abundance of joy and happiness knowing that you can come home to someone who makes your spirit shine is one of the best feelings a person can have. I am single and work hard for all the things that I have. I feel that if I work hard enough I may be wealthy by my standards. So when I hit that plato, I want to experience that same sense of fulfillment in a marriage. GOD WILLIN

MRS ANGELA YOU KNOW I'VE READ BOTH OF YOUR BLOGS ON NON-NEGOTIABLES
AND THE SINGLE & WEALTHY OR MARRIED. AND TO ANSWER THE FIRST ONE FROM
A MAN'S STAND POINT IS TWISTED. YOU SEE A LOTS OF TIMES WOMEN GET IT MIXED
UP, IF A WOMAN SAYS SHE DON'T WANT ME NO MORE, I CAN UNDERSTAND THAT.
I HAVE A FRIEND AND SHE SAYS THAT HER AND HER MAN HAS BROKEN UP, BUT
HE KEEPS SHOWING UP ON THE SCENE. I TOLD HER IT TAKES TWO PEOPLE TO DO
THAT. CALL ME BACK WHEN YOU HAVE MADE THAT THE DECISION. SHE ASK ME WHAT MORE CAN SHE DO. I TOLD HER TO CALL THE POLICE FILE A COMPLAIN. SO WHERE DO NON-
NEGOTIABLE DRAW THE LINE. THE SECOND QUESTION IS SINGLE-WEALTHY-MARRIED
NOT TO BE TO UNSYMPATHETIC OR UNPROFESSIONAL I'M LIKE YOU I'D RATHER BE
MARRIED AND I WILL TELL YOU WHY. FIRST I DON'T KNOW IF YOU READ MY STORY
I'M ABOUT TO GET MY THREE KIDS AND I DON'T HAVE A CLUE WHAT I'M GOING TO DO.
BUT I KNOW THAT GOD GOT MY BACK. IF I WERE MARRIED I'D HAVE A SECOND OPION
ARE I'D HAVE HELP, BUT I'M GEARED UP FOR THE CHELLANGE, BUT I SAY THAT, ARE I'M JUST TRYING TO SATISFY MY INTER FEELING.
YOU SAY YOU HAVE NOT CELEBRATED A BIRTHDAY OR A HOLIDAY IN A RELATIONSHIP IN 4YRS WHY WERE MARRIED TO A COP OR A NON-NEGOTIABLES A-HOLE, I DON'T
UNDERSTAND. YOUR BIRTHDAY IS COMING UP SOON, CATCH THE NEAREST AIRPORT
COME TO TEXAS AND I BET YOU WE CAN CATCH UP THOSES YRE YOU MISS.
THE FLOWERS ARE ON THE WAY, JUST TELL WHERE TO SEND THEM.
-------------WE DO IT BIG IN TEXAS----------
