I really don't believe in writer's block

So you ask, sylvia, Why'd you join? To bother us with your awesomeness of writing all the time? And never being stuck?

No, I joined to help my other fellow writers and cure them of this sickness.

(Clearing my voice and putting on the stethoscope)

So I say take two and call me in the morning

Take two newspapers from anywhere and start reading the newsbriefs in them randomly

Take two minutes, a deep breath and just let go and relax

Take two pieces of paper, bawl them out, straighten them out and then write on them (this serves absolutely no purpose on getting your creative side to work, but it's something to do differently instead of looking at a clean neat sheet of paper. Sometimes we need chaos in order to get going)

Take two hours, call the girlfriend that has so much drama MTV should do a reality show about her and get ready to take notes.

Take two days and don't even look at a piece of paper or an empty Microsoft Word blank screen and just enjoy life.

The point of all this is to just relax and let the stress of writing go. It'll come.

.... the call me in the morning is optional. You can just email me.

I need to take two breaths and organize my day so I make writing a daily priority!

My cure for temporary writers block is digging deep into reading ancient history and spirituality and then tuning into some current events whether on television, online or in magazines and newspapers. Shortly after this, all kinds of ideas will start popping in my head. It's sort of a recharge for my mind and an affirmation of my philosophy that I have to be at peace with before I let the pen flow.

Thanks for sharing with us. The crazy thing with is I have the stories, ideas, characters, chapter names and so much useful information all trapped in my brain. Transfering it all from my mind is my road block. I believe if I don't find a way to solve this issue I will never get past this hump. Writing is truly my passion. Any ideas for this? Lol I can really use some advice..

LOL, LOL, LOL, I so glad you cleared things up for me. I too do not experience writers block but my co-worker/friend does all the time. I tried to get her going again but she always had an excuse for not be able to write at this time. Then it hit me. It was the excuses that block her writing abilities. So I had her to write down the excuses to get them out of her head. Still she came up with more excuses! Wow, so she still is unable to write however she gave me something to write/type about. So I write down what we have talked about so she would know what is blocking her writing abilities. So far we have only been able tolaught about it. This is progess for her and a blessing for me.
