You are probably tired of hearing this; but drinking lots of water is essential to good health. Every cell in the human body requires water. Our cells need to import nutrients and export waste products. Healthy cells are kept clean and nourished with plenty of drinking water.

Therefore if you are not in the habit of drinking at least 8-10 glasses of water per day – now is the time to start!


Spiritual Retreat: Acceptance

So many of us are guilty of trying to live this perfect life that society has set for us, but the only perfection is living a life of purpose – staying true to the path God has paved for you. Sometimes your purpose is related to the challenges you face, and maybe it is up to you to face and conquer that challenge in order to help others going through similar circumstances.

One major step toward acceptance is recognizing the positive things and people in your life. People and experiences come into your life for a reason. They teach you about who you are, and who you are not. However it is important to know when to let go. There are some people who are only in your life to teach and leave, and if you don’t know when to let go, you can delay your progress. The core people in your life MUST BE individuals who have your best interest at heart. No one is perfect, but the best way to tell if someone is supposed to be in your core circle is if you can be honest with them, even if they offend you or hurt you - you both can be honest about the situation, forgive and move on – now that is LOVE.

We must accept ourselves for who you are. We all have things about ourselves that we would like to change, but we can’t run away from ourselves. We have to fully embrace who we are, and then patiently work on ourselves with the help of the Holy Spirit.
