for all my sisters that said what i was sayign was false about my nation sticking together, visit other parts of this site. you dont have to go far, just orther parts of this site! we need to stop and realize to make it in this world as a nation we must stick together! to all my sisters and brothers who are doing something for their lives i give you much props! to all yall that is trying but have not reached your goal i ask God to bless you abundantly. but we cant grow higher until we older women and men come out of denial and teach the next generation. my 6 children know we are all beautiful and when you see someone stuggling you help them out, and when you see someone trying you help them, and when someone is making it, you congradulate them!

LaMerci you are very right and I could not agree with you more. As a black race we are often times over looked but most often duplicated. That is why we need to stand stronge as a race. You all are welcome to join my site http://www.devitab27.ning.com. Feel free to postr anything you like

This is a very pointed statement but I think black represent the icon of what true beauty is...we are all color's and we accept that we are a different shape and size better than any other race. We have a tendency to be thicker than our caucasian, asian counterparts making us a force, as well having
a more non-chalant or a less dramatic approach to adversity and solving problematic situations. This is why we are the fiber of all cultures today...even though it isn't readily admitted.

I wouldn't want to be anything else but black, there is so much to be proud of.

Thanks for all of your comments! Maybe it all started with the European depiction of Jesus with blue eyes and blonde hair. When we all know that he was a dark skinnned Jew! Latino's and Asians to lean toward a light skin and straighter hair. Also with the slave masters putting us in groups we still carry that slave personna. All are individuals!
Just because one sister or brother has bad hygeine does not mean that all our hair has a smell and is dirty in what ever style that you choose. Your hair can and will grow long and beautiful in it's natural state. The first thing that all Europeans did to enslave blacks, indians, etc was cut their hair because it was not like theirs. So the care and art that our hair is was lost. This is 2009 come on and leave ALL that baggage in the past. Redicover our hair heritage.

Something that always helped me was to tell my self and other women how beautiful they are. When you see another black sister stop her and say hi or say something nice to another black sister, you will be suprise how you can change someone's day.
