Denise is that what you do for your hair and does it work?
Denise Smith Comment by Denise Smith on October 10, 2009 at 7:13am
Devetta, when deep conditioning your hair you might sometimes want to sit under a hooded dryer (if you have one) with a plastic cap on for a few minutes.

hey, monniej, thanks for all the great advice. I currently don't use any deep conditioner for my hair, I just use the pantene breakage defense shampoo and cond. I will try to wash my hair weekly instead of every two weeks. I don't flat iron daily but I flat iron after I wash and blow dry it. Once again thank you so much

devetta, your hair may need more moisture. when you experience breakage that's definitely a sign of dryness. do you ever deep condition your hair? how often and what conditioner are you using for deep conditioning? are you flatironing your hair daily? my first thought is that maybe you should condition more often, say weekly rather than every 2weeks. my second thought is that you may need to avoid heat styling for a while. just until you get the damage under control. i hope this helps!

I was my hair every two weeks. I just started using pantene breakages shampoo and cond. I don't get my end clip as often as I should.

hi devetta! what's your current regimen for your hair?
monniej Comment by monniej on October 8, 2009 at 7:58am
yes i do! i co wash every single day! i do it because i workout everyday and sweat buckets. if i don't at least rinse my hair my scalp gets super itchy. i rinse with plain water in the shower after my workout. then i apply my conditioner(s). this morning i used garnier frutese moisture works and patene breakage defense for woc. this way i get fresh, soft, moisturized hair everyday. the biggest thing that's helped my hair is avoiding heat of any kind! no blowdryers, no flat irons, no curling irons. just moisture, moisture, moisture and my hair seems to love it!
