Comment by Melonie Pryer on July 16, 2009 at 10:46am - My situation is a bit different. i had my father until age 30 He was 57 years old when he died and at that point I died with him. I miss him so much and miss him everyday. After college I moved to San francisco where i lived for 22 years so I wasnt able to spend as much time with him like my other siblings. I am single no children and spend most of my time volunteering in the community. I havent met many friends in Baton Rouge but i keep in contact with my friends in California and New York & DC. I was definitely a daddys girl and I keep many pictures of my father throughout my home. Sometimes i wonder if coming home was a good idea. Anyway i think that this group discussion is a great idea and can help us to heal from painful experiences and have a life afterwards.

By telling our stories, we can heal from the emotional pain we experience.Thank you for giving us fatherless daughters a voice.
