A woman knows what she wants, a girl is still trying to figure it out. A woman has a certain confidence from knowing who she is. A girl does not. A woman has discovered her sex appeal, a girl has not.
This is just a few points that I feel differentiate a woman from a girl.
Life has offered a woman rich experiences that allow her to help guide a girl around some of the pitfalls she fell victim to during her journey over peaks and through valleys.
Easy answer: A woman is the templet of feminity, love, compassion and sexuality. A young girl's role model. She's a wife, a mother and a confidant. She's respectful of her man and herself. She does nothing to embarass her genderm herself or her man. A girl is someone incapable of making all of these mistakes due to a lack of life experience or a failure to comply.
I tell females all the time, just because you are 30 doesn't make you a lady. To many, you're a woman because you are too old to be called or labeled a girl. A woman is a way of life, as is a "lady". Behaviors, decisions and accomplishments define a lady, ...age determines a woman.
We all know a man that is 30, still sagging his jeans, up late playin playstation, and rocking cornrows....that's a boy! 30 years old, but with the mentality of a boy. A man would know that it's time to dress the part. That his demeanor, wardrobe and tattoos are preventing him from providing for his family or landing that job he's always wanted. Girls are no different. You dress, behave and hang with girls, you are most likely a girl in a grown woman's body. Womanhood is a mentality and way of life, not a trend or something you HAVE to do. When doing good and treating others well is second nature, then you are a woman.
A woman prioritizes. She takes care of her business, e.i bills, work, ect. She gives her man his space and doesnt call him every 15 minutes to see what he's doing. She choices to pay her rent before purchasing that coach bag. A girl puts a "boy" ahead of her family, friends, goals, ect. She defines her self worth in accordance with how others view her.
A girl - excuse me a child - lol. A girl is still taking form and shaping her way around in this world, seeking new things, experiencing and learning about what her world has to offer. She seeks for something higher, but can only learn to appreciate it after being through specific hurdles etc. in her life.
A woman/lady - is someone who understands what she wants after seeking and experiencing certain things in her ""girl-hood"" days. She understands and appreciates a whole lot more what the world has to offer and what she can offer the world. Her thoughts are different from that of a girl, she's been through a lot of hurdles that has formed her mind etc.
I don't necessarily think that age defies such, because there are some women who act very much like a little girl, and there are some girls who wish they were a woman by trying very hard to be involved in womanly situations.
