What is your take on "act like a lady, think like a man?"

I am referencing this to Steve Harvey's book. I would like to know what you guys think about the saying and the book. Do you think it helps ladies and give men a harder time?

I think Steve Harvey is just exploiting many women's thirst for relationship advice with this. Some of his suggestions in the book are terrible and off base.

I think the book was a great marketing tool to sell books. I think one should just be the strong, intelligent woman that they are. Just be true to yourself and there would be no need to play games in a relationship.

Didn't read it; don't plan to. Not a Steve Harvey fan.

I'm a major Steve Harvey fan, but I got to agree with a previous comment that he is "exploiting many women's thirst for relationship advice with this"! He has been married three times! Is this really someone you want to take relationship advice from?

I haven't read the book so I can't comment on it.

I tried to read a copy that was sent to me for free, but i just felt as several posters put it, it was all about kissing woman's behind to rake in the dough. When i saw him on Oprah, he let those women get away with sooooooo much because it was his target audience. Those women wouldn't have gotten away with any of that mess if i was on the panel. My publisher told me that if i didn't change things in my book, nobody like Oprah and others would touch it with a ten foot pole because it was too honest and they'd lose their core audience.

Those of you who know me know i pull no punches and, if you ever read my books you will be on a love/hate rollecoaster, but once you sleep it off and settle yourself...it's true. Steve, i feel, tossed softballs to move units. Not hating on the man, but it's the art of merchandising.

I read the book, I thought that some of the points were good, but overall it was an alright book

Its a horrible book

He acts as if men are some monolith...I, nor any man I have ever grew up around, acts the way he describes in his book. Steve himself has done nothing more than fail in his relationships so he really does not need to say anything in a relationship book.
