All Praises Due to the Almighty God!! I am trying to find the words to express how I feel today. I watched the election results last night, pinching my arm to make sure I wasn't dreaming. I thought about how all African Americans before us, who fought so hard for us to have the right to vote, must be feeling right now - whether they are in heaven or still here on earth. It is completely overwhelming. It was also wonderful to see how people around the world were celebrating the Obama victory; in Australia, Japan, Germany, Italy, France, Indonesia and Kenya just to name a few. This is a defining moment in American history, with Barack Obama as a catalyst for change in America and the world. It is evident that Barack Obama was put on this earth to be the 44th President of the United States of America!

WOW, This is a day that the Lord has made!! How wonderful it is to see our nation elect it's first African American president. I was truly moved last night and still remain moved this morning. I am so proud and happy for Barack & his lovely family, the new FIRST Family! Last night, when the entire families of the new President Elect and Vice President Elect came to the stage it was such a euphoric moment of togetherness! The faces in the crowds, so happy, so united, I truly felt we were all in the same place in our hearts. I look forward to working with this new administration to better our United States of America!! God Bless...

America, our America! Words cannot express this momentous occasion in our lives. I hope you agree with me that today is a great day to be a proud American. Barak Obama, our first Black President, this is truly a day to remember. I am excited for so many reasons. For all Americans I feel it is an opportunity for us to truly begin to undo the injustices of the past and build a brighter future. For Black Americans, I feel this is our moment to truly believe in the power of change. A stronger black community, a united black community, better families, better education, a better life, a better financial future, we can all make these things possible not by Obama, but with Obama. We are the change we seek in America; you are the change that you seek in your life. This is our moment to be the American Dream.

A change sho' nuff has come!! I am so proud! I am a teacher and the pride overflowing through the hallways through my kids is amazing. I think about the affect this is having on them and how it will continue to impact their lives. They will be able to look to the highest officer in the land and see someone who looks like them and has their interest at heart. My heart is so big and overflowing with emotions that I am rendered speechless when I think about it all. While Barack is the president elect, we, as individuals, must still remember that we have to put the effort in to make life better for ourselves and not put all of our hopes in one man to change our lives. It is a team effort, with our individual and group help, President Obama will truly be successful. It was through our collective efforts that put him into office and it will be the same for the success of this country. He is counting on us to do what needs to be done... from the street corner to the corner office....Let's Do It!! Are you fired up? Get ready to go!! Peace, love, blessings, and soul-Diane

This is a big victory not only for the United States of America as a whole, but for the African American community as well. President-Elect Obama has sent a message to all African Americans that with prayer, supplication, determination and hard work, there is not limits or aspiration that is not attainable. This is especially a big victory for the African American male community. For years they have been stepped on, lied on, beaten, and was always made to feel and believe that because the color of their skin, they were inferior. This victory has shown them that they too can be successful. Just continue to reach for the stars.

As for him and his family, all I can say is "TO GOD BE THE GLORY". I pray throughout the day the God will hold you and your family as well as you extended family in the hollows of his hand and that he will cover you in his blood. Just always remember there will be obstacles that you will be faced with daily. But as the hymologist says "NO WEAPON FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER". This has come to fruition through all the negative and slanderous campaign ads that was publicized about you during your road to the White House. Just remember to continue to stand on God's word and promises and keep the platform in which you started with and you will be vicotrious. Because with you and God "YES WE CAN!!!"

May God continue to bless and keep you, order your steps and keep you in perfect peace is my sincerest prayer for you, your family, our vice-president and your cabinet.

Respectfully
