Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Alex Wek is her own woman and i'm sure some may find her to be very attractive.
However it upsets me that she has been chosen to rep. dark skinned females like myself.

Dark women HAVE hair too ya know;)
Not ALL dark women have Bantu Feautues

Consider Kenya Moore, Jessica White and Stacy Dash
In my eyes I find them to be breathtaking and hope to see more dark black women like them.

I am the essence of a black woman from my dark skin to my dark hair there is no denying that I am a black woman.

Having said this how can I be impartial to my own kind. There is attractive and there is unattractive in all races.

Your next question would probably be: who am I to discern what is attractive and what is not?

The answer is simple: I cannot.

However I can set the standard of beauty in my own eyes.

I find it most admirable that you have taken the time and the initiative to defend Essence of Beauty.


However she is unwilling to make peace or take accountability for her actions in this online grudge

I can only be lead to assume given the fact she has seniority on the Essence forum, and taking into consideration your relationship with her, you are bias and impartial to the situation.

I am sorry however I cannot issue an apology in good faith.

I can however avoid all contact with her thus I would expect the same respect in return.

Calling me a whore un-prompted is not a sign of respect.

My dear,

I do not hate my people.

I do not "hate" any people for that matter. However I do chose to distance myself from others i.e whites.

I came to this forum in hopes of making some new online friends. It takes a wholelotta people to make a world go round.
I did not expect everyone to agree with me
(My girls at home like white people they know I am cool off whites but we are close friends still. Hell, I would die for them)

My point is we do NOT all have to agree.

When I first posted to this forum some white man tried to make conversation with me and I let him know what time it was (go talk to someone else please)

As SOON I did that......... Awwww shit son. Every woman on here had rude names to call me. Just because I don't care for whitey (If I wanted to be friends with whites I would go join stormfront or something)

I am not making myself into the victim rather explaining how something so small as my opinion made others see me in lights that are not so.

Yea we all don't hate whites, that's your feelings, white people have feelings too.You can't hate one for what the others have done. Whoever is apart of the Essence community demand respect and all are not the same color. If your looking for an all black community then you should seek on because it's mixed race here, we love all and look to the best for eachother.
Evidently your persona has been notarized to not be so positive to the community. I think you are angry about something and don't want to admit it. We look to gettng over negative things that good be a bad enfluence on moving forward in some things. Feel me.

Yes,

They are my feelings.

I am entitled to my feelings and I cannot be convinced otherwise.

No, I am not angry but thank you for your insight and concern.

Not all blacks like whites, just like not all blacks dislike whites.
I have made a few E online friends who share my views, and to those who do not it is no loss.
As long as they do not attack my beliefs or my views then they are of no threat or concern to me.

So yes, I feel ya
