Everyone has a Michael Jackson memory....

What are some of your favorites? Do you remember trying to moonwalk for the first time, dancing to his song at a school dance? What's your favorite MJ memory?

I remember when I was in elementary school and we had dances in the cafeteria. When a Michael Jackson song would play all the girls would scream.

I remember his performance in the Wiz. Still one of my favorite movies from childhood.

Moon walk, and that cute little face surrounded by a large afro when he was a child. Good stuff.

I went to see the Jackson 5 when they first came out. It was pure excitement, and pure pandemonium. I lsao worked at the arena the night the Jacksons performed Triumph Lp. I was backstage when they came in he was leaping in the air full of energy.
I stood next to Stacy Lattisaw that night after she performed. She was a real sweetheart of a person.

I was OBSESSED with the Thriller album!!!! I own a copy that would probably be worth something, there's a picture on both sides of the album itself (covering the whole length of the record on both sides, they didn't really do that back in those days). It will forever be a great collector's item to me. I'll see if I can get my mom to take a pic of it, it's at her house.

In elementary school, I had the Michael Jackson dolls, the glove (which I slept in) and a lavendar "Beat It" type jacket!!! To say I was a mere fan at 8-9 years old is putting it mildly!!! MJ was my BOYFRIEND!!! LOL

Me and my friends would reinact the Thriller video on the playground at recess, and I got to be MJ cause I knew all the dance steps.

Man, I can't believe this day.

R.I.P. MJ!!!!!!

Tonya I remember my son crying because someone stole his glittered glove from his bookbag. We laugh at that to this day. The principal asked for the boys in the class to come to the office and they eventually found it.

This is one of those situations where you can look back and laugh now, but back then it wasn't funny.

My parents actually almost did time over Micheal Jackson...my brother loved Michael so much as a child that whenever one of his songs would come on hed jump up and start to dance, try to moon walk...well one day he heard his song come on and was trying to get out of his high chair or whatever it was that he was sitting in so he could do the moonwalk...well he was tryin to get outta that chair so fast that he wasn't payin attention and his foot got caught and crashing to the ground he went. He didn't even cry, he just got up and started dancing so my parents thought he was fine.

Well later that night my parents notice that he is acting strange, very cranky, has a fever and holding his wrist so they rush him to the ER...turns out that he broke his wrist. The doctors asked my parents what happened and they told them...they then start trying to ask my brother what happened but he's only like one or two so ofcourse he can't talk well...so CPS gets called...only thing that saved my parents is that my brother kept saying MJ MJ..wasn't funny then but we look back on it now and laugh.
