Everyone has a Michael Jackson memory....

What are some of your favorites? Do you remember trying to moonwalk for the first time, dancing to his song at a school dance? What's your favorite MJ memory?

I just registered for two free tickets to attend Michael's Public Memorial Service on Tuesday at 10am at the Staples Center. If anyone wants a chance to obtain free tickets (winners will be drawn in order to attend), then go to http://www.staplescenter.com/ for details.

His videos were great but that Smooth Criminal one with the lean almost floored me the first time I saw it. It still remains my favorite video although I liked some of his other songs better. I saw the video of his last rehearsal and I think that will be etched in my head forever. I feel so sad when I see images of him because you really did not know just how lonely and fragile he was. Rest in Peace. Sad ending to a great life.

I can remember watching the Jackson 5 on tv. Michael was so cute.I have heard songs in the last week that I hadn't heard in 20 or more years.Who can forget Billie Jean, Beat it or Dancing machine One of my personal favorites was Butterflies. My heart goes out to the family, especially the children.I just hope the media will allow them to mourn without turning it into a spectacle My heart aches for his mother. As a parent,I cannot begin to imagine out living one of my children.RIP Michael

this is SUPER GROSS. Don't think I don't know that, or that I this would ever happen in my recent history....but in middle school, a friend of mine would pop her pimples and chase me around the house doing the MJ pelvic thrust. LOL, I would run away doing it too, lol. GROSS! I know. Also, I remember his 84' concert w/the Jackson 5 even though I was only like 4, it was freaking awesome. I still have the poster. And of course watching Thriller back in the days working on my home-made Halloween costumes with my daddy :)

We all in the family LOVED MJ. Everyone must remember this man had NO childhood and what he did have was monitored so closely. I wish I could give him the gift, a life to relive his childhood and be a normal young man. Normal meaning, playing with his friends, going to proms, acting like a child growing up. He missed that. I remember my kids dancing & singing to MJ and I remember the night we all were watching tv and he first did the MOON WALK. This man was an AWESOME performer. I remember Thriller and my babies were small than and we taped it & every day they would watch that tape we still had it when Hurrican Katrina hit the N.O. it did not play very well but we watched it. The good times are what i will remember and pray that he's in heaven and looking down on us. I think he might say "they just did not understand me, I did my best". Maybe now they will leave him alone. I doubt it, some want that last piece of him ($$$$).

Hmmm.... My fav. Michael Jackson memory would be my very first marching band performance we did a Mike show (all the songs were by him) and we formed a M. J. OMG it was the best EVER!!! When we were finished the crowd went WILD and to this day when i perform i try to get that feeling that i had while marching off the field because then and only then do i feel like i did my job.

I was happy when my uncle Buddy, brought to me my first Michael Jackson doll. My mom is a christian,so what I would do is play Michael's music while she was at church or gone to Chicago for a couple of weeks. I remember mama telling me to stop making Michael out of an idol god, I do remember telling her,"I'm gonna marry Michael Jackson when I grow up!" She began to laugh her heart out,and began to walk around the house and pray. One day at school there was a talent contest, and my brother Joe needed a back up singer,so he picked this guy we called crazy George, whom thought he was Michael Jackson. Crazy George would wet his hair with water and put vaseline in his hair to make curls. He would pull a long strand of hair over his forehead and say,"I'm Michael Jackson!"When it was time for Joe and George to sing, crazy George began to dance before the music started. Joe waited until the music began and started singing "Thriller".The crowd went wild,Joe sounded fantastic.Crazy George ran up to Joe to take the mike, but Joe ignored him and kept singing. George had a fit and ran off of the stage ,whining and upset at Joe. Poor George,he really thought he was Michael Jackson! Now to me that was really funny!

I remember seeing the Jackson 5 at Madison square Garden, so you know this was the early days, I want You Back was the hit, and both Michael and I were about 9 yrs old. After the show, I had the privlidge (thanks to my cousins connection) to go back stage and meet them. I had a crush on Jermaine and Micheal was admiring my cousin's boots, and he kept commenting on how nice they were. We (my cousin and I) thought they were very country at the time. Now when I think back, he was fashion concous then, and oh so cute.
