I was elementary school student and I was celebrating my birthday, when I received The Jackon Fives album ABC..what memories. Michael Jackson was a incredible musical talent, his music and legacy will carry on forever. RIP Michael....

When i was 12 I lost my brother He was just one month shy of turning 18. But before my brother died, Micheal was doing his US tour and he had a show in Gary Indiana. One of my brother's last wishes before he passed was to go see him in concert, so his mother took him and he got to fulfill one of his life wishes--to see Micheal in concert. This was in the late 80's when Bad was out. Along with having his family around him, my brother died happy having seen Michael in concert. Michael just touched so many people. Say what u want, but hands down Michael was the BEST performer EVER. Period.
My brother has Micheals Jackson's pointing feet (pic above) engraved on his headstone.

Yeah, I remember that, but because of popular demand, they had to move that video to the daytime. He was also the first black performer on MTV. He opened many doors for a whole lot of people, black and white.
Mel said:Another memory was when "Thriller" 1st came out. Now for all the 25 & up folks, ya'll can remember when MTV would only show Thriller late at night. SO when it 1st came out, my mom & aunt let me & my cousin stay up to watch it. We made a big pallet on the floor in front of the tv, we fell asleep, but when it came on, my Aunt woke us up. Also Michael was my 1st crush in elementary school..lol. And i had DOZENS of posters of him on the wall as a kid. My cousin had the Thriller coat & i remember being jealous cuz I wanted one so bad!!!!!! LOL!

My best memories of Michael Jackson is when i was Blessed to see him in Jacksonville, Fl in the 80's at a Concert. They held the Concert for the Jackson 5 in Gator Bowl (now Alltel Staduim) and it was pack and then some. Also, It is five members of my family and every Holloween we would all do the Thiller routine down to the tee. RIP Michael we love you. He care so much about people of the world and had a impact on all of us.

I used to LOVE MICHAEL JACKSON, my Mum still teases me about it!! She went to China for a Conference and brought me an MJ t-shirt, I wore that thing out!!!
No one could say a bad word against him, then I suppose I got older and other things took over!!!
I remember when my daughter was little and she saw Michael Jackson on TV and insisted he was a white girl. I explained who he was and showed her old pictures of him, she point blank refused that it could be him!! Baby-girl!!

Michael was my first boyfriend (at the age of 9).....I remenber how I use to stare at this huge Michael Jackson poster in my older cousin's bedroom, right then and there, he was my man and been loving him every since.....I can still imagine that poster!!

My best friend and I choreographed our first talent show routine to Beat It (circa 1984). I think I was in second grade. We each had a "the glove" and that red jacket I BEGGED my mom for.

@ Sharlinda: Was it the Thriller Album cover (or the picture may have been inside the album cover) poster...with the baby tiger? I absolutely loved that poster and had it over my bed.
