SMH...lol

You can't force a relationship to work!!! I advise anyone never to date anyone 5yrs or older...if your 26 and under....the younger person is at a disadvantage. If your 26+ than I wouldn't date nobody 8+yrs older...don't ask me how I came up with my opinion...lol

Depends on the persons mentality. How much older are you talking?

You make it work just like you make any other relationship work.

I used to only date older men when I was much younger but after a while I realized that dating a man much older than me I was losing something...myself. I needed to experience being young and doing all the things that young people do. I deprived myself of a lot of that because in dealing with older people they have already done what I was just now beginning to discover.

If you want to make it work though I think one of the main things is to have a level of maturity about yourself. You don't have to be old acting and stuffy but an older women is probably not going to want to come home and watch 106 & Park. Feel me?

The way I make an relationship work for me by dating an older man is to look at his younger son.

I concur! I'm 25, and it wasn't until earlier this yr that I moved my limit to five yrs older. It used to be four yrs older, but I'm getting up there (slowly), so I could definitely date a 30 yr old.

Ciao

Ive mostly dated older women so its not an issue with me. I dont think its for everyone and most men would like a younger women. If the personalities mesh, there wont be any problems.

How much older are you talking? Are you talking "You probably don't remember the same cartoons from when I was a kid older" or "Go softer or you're going to break my artificial hip" older?

I am 52 and I have never date anyone in their 50's. Even when older guys try to hit on me now it feels funny. My friends ask me how do I do that. It just happens that everyone I have fallen in love with have always been at least 10 years younger than me. For me to be with someone 62 while I am 52 would make me feel odd since I am not used to that.

I am dating an older man (11 years older to be exact) and it is the best relationship I have had. We are going on 4 years this month and it is a healthy relationship. I think that I am very mature for my age but he also allows me to grow and doesn't confine or determine my life experiences. He respects me for who I am and I respect him for who he is.
